Removal instructions I’ve found online don’t work; they have me remove it as a Firefox extension it’s not listed there or uninstall it from Control Panel It’s not there either. I am fed-up of such annoying popup ads on my PC and trying hard I failed to remove it. But, while search for the solution I found the given below article very helpful to remove the popup ads from the PC.

I recommend you to try out and remove popup ads completely from the PC. Try running a full scan with MalwareBytes Free edition. That will probably pick it up, and get rid of it. Not sure about you, but this wasn’t listed in Control Panel Programs on my computer. That was one of the firwst places I checked after ensuring it hadn’t been installed as a Firefox add-on.

I wish I could remember how I solved this so I could post it here. I’m thinking I found some place to “exclude” it from Firefox. But I did also run Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes free program hasn’t worked to eliminate this annoying issue. Nor has my Norton antivirus scans.

It is not listed under my program files on the control panel, so I can’t use the uninstall feature. It also is not showing up in FF as an extension or add on.

I absolutely loathe unwanted pop ups and malware that redirects me to a different site. Any solution to this that doesn’t entail downloading more software would be really appreciated. I’m pretty sure this little charmer hitched a ride when I downloaded some free software I was using to solve a different issue and norton gave it a pass , so I will absolutely not ever go to an unknown site to get software ever again.

It is time you pay a visit to one of the free malware removal sites which we recommend. Please register at one of them and stay with them until they finish helping you to clean your computer.

The new site is listed first in this link. I don’t think Norton has a solution for the problem of PCKeeper. But I have another re-direct virus which seems to infect only Firefox. I have visited Norton three times in an attempt to remove this.

Earlier this evening, a Filipino technician told me I must renew my Norton the subscrption expires in about 50 days in order to get something he calls “guaranteed protection.

What is Norton Virus Protection Promise? I have Norton I have run full scans and the Norton Power Eraser. In my second visit to Norton, a technician was able to remove the re-direct virus, or so we both thought at first. About 24 hours later, I noticed I still had it. So what do I get by renewing my that I don’t have now?

Another empty promise? Can you be specific? Norton offers a Virus Protection Promise. The details of the Promise and how it is applied on a case by case basis would be best discussed with Support. As Norton tried once I really am not so foolish that I would fall for an unfulfilled promise from Symantek twice.

They pulled this stunt once before on a laptop that in the end I had to nearly scrap. What I particularly did not like was this Filipino technician who works for Norton negotiating with me for a price for services that I thought I had paid for when I renewed my Norton subscription earlier. Instead, what I did was install Malwarebytes Premium and eliminated the problem within 15 minutes.

I’m not a GURU I do however follow their lead The sites that bjm is recommending are free sites. You sign up at one of them. They do not enter your computer. You work 1 on 1 with one specially trained malware removalist. They will ask you to run scans and use different tools to get your computer cleaned up. These sites are not paid by Symantec. The second time, my case was elevated to a senior tech. He and I both thought he had succeeded, but the malware was back the next day.

I installed Malwarebyte. It found three pieces of software on my PC which I was able to confirm from on-line research were malicious which Norton had not isolated. But I still had the problem. Did another scan which is more thorough and the problem was gone 20 minutes later.

I’m pretty much through with Norton. I find neither Norton nor the “community” read what I write for comprehension. It’s not my problem to make you feel good about yourself. I fixed my problem. Norton did not. End of subject on my end. Back to top. Reg: Jun This forum thread needs a solution. Kudos 0. Can anyone advise me how to get rid of this? I have the same question 0.
